The most common complaint about riding off-road in a side-by-side vehicle is indeed the presence of dust. Trail Armor recognizes this frustration and has developed a solution called the CoolFlo Windshield (patent pending). This innovative two-piece design addresses the dust issue while providing superior face and eye protection, as well as reducing cabin temperature.

Unlike traditional windshields and roofs that can exacerbate the dust problem, the CoolFlo Windshield offers a unique approach. It acknowledges that installing a windshield changes the airflow dynamics, creating a low-pressure zone behind the windshield. This is similar to the experience of riding in a jeep or convertible car, where the low pressure causes air and dust to flow towards the front or windshield.

Automakers have addressed this issue by adding spoilers to roof racks and rear windows to create an air curtain, but the problem still persists at lower trail speeds. Trail Armor's CoolFlo Windshield tackles this challenge by utilizing special foils and a two-piece design. By removing the lower section of the windshield, the airflow is redirected downward to the floor and backward into the cab, effectively breaking the low-pressure zone. This helps prevent dust from entering the cab, while also forcing trapped engine heat out of the vehicle.

The upper portion of the CoolFlo Windshield remains in place to provide necessary eye and face protection. If the weather is too cold to ride without a full windshield, you can leave the bottom part on and remove it later if needed. Half or three-quarter windshields only reduce the low-pressure zone without completely eliminating it, and they fail to provide adequate eye protection. With a half windshield, you have no upper protection, only slightly less dust, and the cool air is blown over your head without providing relief.
