Return Policy
In the rare instance a return is necessary the guidelines below will affect the return.
- All returned merchandise must have a return merchandise authorization number (RMA) issued by Rugged Terrain prior to shipping the return back. Returns without an RMA will be automatically rejected and may be returned to the shipper at the shipper’s expense.
- Goods returned with an RMA must be in new, unused, re-saleable condition with no signs of installation and in the original, undamaged manufacturer's packaging. All contents and documentation must be present.
- Rugged Terrain will deduct a 20% restocking fee on ALL returns or exchanges from your refund amount.
- Return requests must be made within 30 days of receiving an item. Delivery date is determined by the carriers tracking number.
- Rugged Terrain must be notified within 10 days of any damaged, defective, or inoperable part to be considered for a refund or exchange.
- Return of any part that has been damaged in transit or prior, installed, assembled, fit to or attached to another product will not be accepted and may be returned to the purchaser at the purchaser's expense.
- Custom ordered, manufactured, painted, or powder coated parts can not be returned or exchanged. All powder coated parts are built to order and all sales are final. Custom Ordered is defined by anything that is not listed on our website.
- Absolutely NO returns or exchanges on electronic items or items that have been installed. Items must be in new condition and in original packaging
- Shipping is non-refundable
- Customer is responsible for shipping costs incurred to return products.
- Do NOT ship items to the return address on the box your items came in without confirmation to do so. A charge of $35.00 will apply to the refund and a restocking fee may also be charged. A delay may be had on the refund due to reshipping that item if applicable.
- Defective Items - Any warranty claims for defective merchandise that after 30 days from the date of purchase must be handles between the customer and the manufacturer. We will try our best to support you in the matter, but we cannot accept items that fail due to the manufacturer.
Some Circumstances in which credit will NOT be issued but not limited to:
- Product has been installed and/or used
- Product has been damaged from an attempt to be installed and/or used
- Product is shipped back without original box, manual and/or parts
- Seal on parts is broken
- Product serial number does not match that of which was original shipped to buyer
- Product is deemed not re-sellable by Rugged Terrain due to customers own actions in dealing with the product
How do I return an item
Not what you needed? Here are the steps for returning an item to us.

Before returning any item, you must contact Rugged Terrain at 972-244-3660 to obtain return authorization. We will review your request, provide an RMA number, and supply the appropriate return shipping address. Items must be shipped within 15 days of RMA issuance. Returns shipped after this period will be rejected and may be sent back to the customer at the customer’s expense.

Prepare your package in the original packaging. Please be sure to package your return extremely well. If the product is damaged upon arrival, the return will be rejected. We highly encourage customers to purchase shipping insurance to cover the cost of these situations. The customer will be responsible for return shipping expenses if the return is rejected.

Please be sure to insure the package for the purchase price. Things happen; it can get messy if one of the big three shipping companies decide to play rugby with your package. Rugged Terrain is not responsible for damage during shipment.
- Please send us the tracking info so we can monitor and expedite your return.
Cancelation Policy
- Rugged Terrain recommends contacting us before placing any order to review inventory, if it can be shipped to your state/country, and estimated ship time.
- If you place an order with Rugged Terrain and choose to cancel your order before the parts have shipped Rugged Terrain will cancel your order and issue a refund less a 10% cancelation fee.
- Shipped orders can not be canceled.
- Rugged Terrain will deduct a 10% fee on ALL canceled orders from your refund amount. No Exceptions!
- Cancellations are NOT allowed on special order parts.
