Say goodbye to the tired BOSS secondary clutch and welcome the Team Tied floating version, precisely designed for the 2016-23 models. The BOSS secondary clutch that came with these machines is known to be cheap, wears out quickly, and causes various issues.

The clutch is a high-quality solution that has proven itself on 2014-15 XP 1000s and other top-tier models. Unlike the fixed BOSS clutch, our Team Tied floating clutch aligns perfectly from idle to full shift-out as it moves along the shaft. This design ensures excellent performance and longevity, reducing belt and clutch problems while maintaining better consistency and alignment.

Switching to our clutch will spare you the headache of secondary clutch failure, which can also damage your primary clutch. This seamless upgrade means smoother rides on the trail. Our secondary clutch is delivered professionally set up, featuring a performance helix and spring, similar to the fantastic clutch that originally came with the 2014-15 models. Its floating mechanism keeps it in sync with the primary clutch, leading to cooler belt temperatures and extended belt life.

This upgrade is perfect for both stock and modified machines, providing wicked throttle response and quicker downshifts. Experience more consistent clutch performance as the clutch floats back and forth on the secondary shaft, always staying aligned with the primary clutch, even under torque or power. If you desire more free-wheeling when off the throttle, our clutch allows you to remove the engine braking in the secondary clutch.

With our clutch, you'll enjoy reduced belt slap on the clutch cover, enhancing belt life and longevity. This advantage is especially beneficial when running larger tires or paddles. We offer two clutch kits to cater to different needs: the Standard Load kit for stock or near-stock size tires (28-30") suitable for fast-paced trail riders or racers, and the High Load kit for those with larger tires (31-32"), mud tires, dune riders, and those with paddles 28" or larger. If you opt for the High Load kit, please note that mud and dune setups may require slightly different clutches, but the components remain the same.

Additionally, you can choose between keeping the Engine Braking (EBS) like factory settings, suitable for slower-pace riders in mud, crawling, or hilly terrain, or removing the Engine Braking for faster-pace trail riders, racers, or dune riders.

The clutch kit includes a fully assembled Tied secondary clutch with AA secondary spring and a custom-cut AA helix. To ease installation, we recommend using the Tied clutch belt removal tool.
