One of the most common failure points on all Polaris RZR turbo & XP 1000 engine platforms is the factory self adjusting timing chain tensioner. When timing chain tensioner failures happen and aren't caught in time they typically self destruct and cause total engine failure. Loose timing chains will saw into the engine case and jump teeth on the cam gears quickly leading to total destruction of the engine.

Total Performance Racing has revolutionized the cam chain tensioner for the Polaris RZR engine platform, delivering the ability to adjust chain tightness while the engine is running!

The TPR tensioner keeps proper tension on the cam chain during cold starts or roll over and eliminates the risk of catastrophic engine failure.  The chain tensioner keeps the chain taught at the proper tension, virtually eliminating jumping teeth on the gears which is known to happen with the factory tensioners. 

Easy to turn knob with easy to read laser indicators delivers precise tuning that also eliminates cam chain noise.  All tensioners are precisely CNC machined in house in San Diego, California.  The tensioner body and turning knob are made from 6061 billet aluminum. The shaft and foot internals are made from 17-4 stainless steel and feature ARP fasteners for secure clamping.  Installation instructions and video available so you can install with confidence.
