Hitch Skid | Recovery Point Short

If you're grappling with rear-end ground clearance issues in your truck or SUV, our Hitch Skid with Recovery Point is a must-have. This essential accessory facilitates easy traversal of inclines and shields your factory hitch from scraping against rocks and trees on the trail. It's an excellent fit for Toyota Tacomas and most other vehicles equipped with a 2" receiver hitch. While our Hitch Skid is designed to be one-size-fits-most, some vehicles may require adjustments, such as using different mounting holes or trimming plastic components for a proper fit.

Manufactured from robust 2"x2" square tubing with a substantial 1/4" wall thickness, we've prioritized durability. Our meticulous welding process involves affixing a recovery clevis to our 10"x8.5" steel plate, which is 1/4" thick, and then seamlessly joining this plate to our 2"x2" square tube for optimal strength. Each component undergoes full MIG welding to ensure top-notch quality.

The 2"x2" square tube offers versatility with three different mounting pin holes to suit a variety of applications. Every Hitch Skid comes standard with a recovery point, featuring a sturdy .875" thickness and a 1" diameter bore, perfectly designed to accommodate a standard 3/4" inch shackle.

This is our shorter version, tailored to accommodate a spare tire. We also offer a standard version equipped with a 10"x10" plate and four mounting holes.
