Hitch Skid | Recovery Point

For those facing ground clearance challenges in the rear of their truck or SUV, our Hitch Skid with Recovery Point is an indispensable solution. This rugged accessory facilitates smooth navigation across inclines and prevents your factory hitch from scraping against rocks and trees on off-road trails. It's particularly well-suited for vehicles like the Toyota Tacoma, and most others equipped with a 2" receiver hitch. While it's designed to fit a wide range of vehicles, some may require adjustments, such as utilizing different mounting holes or trimming plastic components to ensure a proper fit.

Constructed from robust 2"x2" square tubing with a substantial 1/4" wall thickness, we've spared no effort in enhancing durability. Our meticulous welding process incorporates a recovery clevis, welded to a 10"x10" steel plate with a 1/4" thickness, which is then seamlessly joined to the 2"x2" square tube for maximum strength. Every component undergoes full MIG welding to ensure top-notch quality.

The 2"x2" square tube offers versatility with four different mounting pin holes, making it suitable for various applications. Each Hitch Skid includes a standard recovery point, featuring a robust .875" thickness and a 1" diameter bore, ideal for accommodating a standard 3/4" shackle.

In addition to our standard version, we also offer a shorter variant designed to accommodate spare tires, featuring a smaller plate and three mounting holes.
