1. Material: The skid plates are made from Trail Armor's proprietary custom blend of ultra-high molecular weight polymer. This 1/2" thick plastic skid material is lighter than most metal or aluminum skid plates while offering excellent shock absorption and durability. Unlike metal skids, these plastic skids have no "impact memory" and will not dent, gall, or corrode.

2. Leading Edges: Trail Armor skid plates feature leading edges on the front and rear portions, designed to protect vulnerable frame edges and wheel wells from blunt edge impacts. These leading edges also facilitate sliding over obstacles with reduced resistance compared to metal skid plates.

3. Side Panel Design: The skids include side panels that extend approximately 1/2" past the rocker panels, providing additional protection to the sides and rocker panels of your vehicle. This design sets Trail Armor's skid plate coverage apart from other manufacturers, ensuring comprehensive protection.

4. Easy Installation: The skid plates come in easy-to-install panels that cover the entire length and breadth of the vehicle, including the front and rear differentials. They install directly over the existing metal factory skid plate. The package includes corrosion-resistant hardware and photo-documented installation instructions. 5. Maintenance and Drainage: Strategically placed drain holes allow for easy washing out of dirt and debris without the need to remove the skid plates. Access holes are provided for servicing points and oil drains. Individual panels can be removed if necessary, without requiring the removal of the entire skid plate.

6. Recessed Mounting Holes: The skid plates feature recessed mounting holes that protect fasteners from damaging blows and prevent bolt heads from protruding from the skid's surface, reducing the risk of impact damage.
