Please note that these tools are needed whenever you remove the bolts/mounts holding the motor and transmission together. The center-to-center tool is laser-cut from extremely rigid plastic and serves as a go/no-go type tool, with some tolerances intentionally designed within it.
Other more expensive tools may be more precise, but the flex of the motor/transmission under load can make those tolerances irrelevant. For RZR turbo models, the inner aluminum clutch cover determines the distance apart, but there is still some wiggle room in the bolt holes, so the alignment bar (this tool) should be installed while tightening those bolts as a double-check. Checking the center-to-center distance is recommended if your belt life is suffering, as many vehicles (especially non-turbo models with the plastic inner cover) may not have the correct center-to-center distance from the factory.
To use the tool, simply remove your clutches (primary clutch puller needed) and install this tool on the secondary shaft (using the larger hole). Bolt the smaller hole end to the crankshaft with your OEM primary clutch bolt OR the supplied bolt. Detailed instructions on how to use the tool can be found in the provided link.
