Introducing our high-performance S3 X3 clutch kits designed for the Can-Am Maverick X3 R 172 Base Horsepower models manufactured between 2018 and 2021. S3 X3 clutch kits are packed with power, delivering exceptional performance regardless of the terrain. Whether you're on the trail, at the race, riding in dunes, or going mudding, you'll experience hard-hitting acceleration and instant clutch response when getting back on the throttle after hitting corners.

The factory clutches in these X3 models are heavy and tend to ramp up RPM slowly. However, with our properly clutched X3, you'll witness a significant difference as RPM ramps up quickly, providing a major advantage when running heavier tires, riding dunes, or tuning your X3 for higher revs. This rapid RPM acceleration enables faster acceleration and enhances overall performance.

The S3 kit includes a game-changing fully adjustable helix, custom-cut to suit the X3 platform. This helix angle optimizes acceleration, allowing RPM to ramp up quickly at the start and then loading the motor intensely for wicked acceleration. Moreover, you can easily adjust the spring tension with this helix, making it much simpler than adjusting the X3 primary.

You have two helix styles to choose from:

1. Performance Helix 1053: An aggressive helix designed for acceleration, higher horsepower, and aggressive fast-paced driving.

2. High-Load Helix 1050: Slightly less aggressive than the 1053 helix, offering good acceleration gains and power transfer over the OEM helix. It is ideal for heavier vehicles, heavier tires, heavy sand load, or crawling-type riding.

The S3 kit includes 6 AA Recoil magnetic adjustable clutch weights, a primary spring, AA adjustable helix, a helix adjustment tool, and a setup guideline. The setup guideline helps you adjust the weights for various setups, including stock horsepower to 220 RWHP, different tire sizes, paddle tires, altitudes, and more.

Our Recoil clutch weights are fully adjustable, ranging from 50 to 64 grams, with more tip weight for harder acceleration and upshifting. These weights offer superior performance and can be tuned for various applications and future modifications without requiring additional parts.

Our clutch kits contribute to cooler running belt temperatures, leading to longer belt and clutch life due to efficient power transfer. In combination with our Stryker belts (GBoost belt), we have tested this kit in the dunes and trails at higher horsepower levels with zero belt failures.

Expect substantial acceleration gains and improved power transfer to the rear wheels with this kit, while still maintaining close-to-stock engagement for a smooth start. We also offer higher engagement options if needed.

To install this clutch kit, our special clutch tool, clutch compression tool, and clutch puller are required. These tools can be added with the drop-down options during purchase.

For those with a rev limit set between 8300-8700 RPM, we recommend targeting peak RPM at 7700-7900 RPM. For AA tunes and other tunes with an 8800-9000 RPM rev limit, the target should be 7900-8300 RPM. Testing should be done on a somewhat level ground, starting from a 10-20 MPH roll and reaching full WOT, with RPM checked as you pass 55-60 MPH.
