Aftermarket Assassins Stage 1 Clutch Kit with Heavy Duty Primary for 2018+ Ranger XP 1000 Double Cam
Fits standard cab models from 2018 and up, as well as crew cab models from 2019 and up, with the exception of the 2022 and later Northstar Editions, which have a larger crank taper. This clutch kit is not compatible with Ranger 61HP Single Cam Models. Whether it's for trail-ready vehicles or high horsepower configurations, our shop exclusively trusts and uses this clutch. The package includes a comprehensive AA heavy-duty primary clutch.
This specific clutch design mirrors the one employed in the 2016-2020 RZR Turbo models, incorporating an enclosed tower design. Our testing revealed that this clutch excels in maintaining power, and durability (preventing any risk of exploding), and minimizing belt slippage. It has consistently met the rigorous demands of high-horsepower vehicles and boasts a proven track record.
Furthermore, this clutch notably outperforms billet clutches in terms of maintaining belt grip, particularly at higher RPMs. Crafted using premium-grade tool steel for the post and assembled with AA HD sliders according to AA specifications, this primary clutch enhances power transfer (resulting in improved acceleration) and keeps belt temperatures lower compared to the OEM P90X clutch or other aftermarket alternatives.
It's important to note that this primary clutch does not feature EBS (Engine Braking System). Despite the stock P90X encountering EBS-related issues, we have not observed any substantial difference in engine braking between the two setups.
The kit consists of an AA Primary Clutch, Primary Bolt, AA magnetic adjustable clutch weights, a weight setup sheet, AA primary spring, and a customized Primary Limiter, and now includes AA Extreme Heavy Duty primary sliders (pre-installed on the clutch). Please be aware that the clutch requires assembly. You can either set up the weights based on our setup chart and then install the weights and spring, or you have the option to add an assembly service for an additional fee of $25. If opting for assembly, kindly provide details about engine modifications and tire specifications.
This product is intended for those who already possess our AA clutch kit and wish to upgrade their primary clutch. If you're seeking both the clutch and secondary components, that particular kit is listed separately. The clutch necessitates the use of an AA secondary spring (or an AA spring in conjunction with an AA helix).
To remove your OEM clutch, a P90X clutch puller is necessary. The AA clutch uses the standard XPT/XP 1000 primary clutch puller. In case you encounter alignment concerns, our P90X Secondary Clutch Alignment Shim Kit (Part number 108-1059) is available to rectify the issue.
