What sets CoolFlo Windshields apart from other shields on the market is their approach to tackling the problem of airflow and low-pressure zones. When a windshield is added to a roll-caged vehicle, it creates a low-pressure zone behind the windshield, which draws in the dust. Automakers have addressed this issue by adding spoilers to create an air curtain at higher speeds, but the problem remains at lower trail speeds.

The CoolFlo Windshield addresses this low-pressure zone by employing a two-piece design. The lower section of the windshield is removed, redirecting air downward and backward into the cab, effectively breaking the low-pressure zone and forcing trapped engine heat out of the vehicle. The upper portion of the CoolFlo Windshield remains in place, providing eye and face protection.

If the weather is too cold to ride without a full windshield, you can leave the bottom part on and remove it later if necessary. Half or three-quarter windshields offered by other brands only reduce the low-pressure zone without breaking it, and they do not provide adequate eye protection. In contrast, Trail Armor's CoolFlo Windshields, made of 1/4" mar-resistant, hard-coated polycarbonate, offer excellent face and eye protection while relieving dust and heat for a comfortable ride. The lower section can be easily removed and replaced on the fly.
